Mail Order Zombie #198 - Rot & Ruin, The Walking Dead

Download Episode #198 here!

Brother D is a little sick this week (it's not a zombie plague, it's not a zombie plague), so there's no movie reviews this time around, but he still powers through the final two episodes of Season Two of The Walking Dead with Miss Bren.  Silent Death is joined by Deathsong for a review of Jonathan Maberry's Rot & Ruin, and Bren wraps up the show with D with the Feedback Discussion.

Hey guys enjoying the podcast. First off, I am amazed it took you so long to watch The Walking Dead. I am a huge fan of the show.

A few points on your Walking Dead coverage.

    - With Dale you are right the word was he wanted to leave because Darabont got fired. Before that it was actually Hershel that was going to die, but the writers took a turn and made it Dale.

    - I guess the overall runner is a man. But they do have different writers that come in and get say two episodes each, that sort of thing. Some of those writers are women.

    - The fire in the barn, which you guys said seemed unplanned and had no back up plan. Well Rick and Carl got cornered in there, I think Rick thought they were possibly done for, to me it was a last minute desperation move. Also I thought Rick intimated also the fire was basically an alarm for the rest of the group in the house that this huge zombie horde is coming. I think he also hoped it would be a signal that they might get in a vehicle and come to possibly pick them up or they could jump on the roof of a vehicle.

    - Surprised no mention during the Shane death of the amazing visuals and atmosphere in that episode.

The first half of season 3 is just awesome!!! I think you two will love it. I hope so anyway.

Thanks for all of the great work on MOZ and 1951 Down Place. Both are just fantastic listens!!

    Cheers,
